Clean Crave terms of use
Effective October 8, 2026.
These terms cover the Clean Crave app on iPhone and Android. Clean Crave is a brand of Zoe Ophelia Holdings LLC, a Washington company.

By downloading the app or buying a plan, you agree to these terms and to the payment terms of Apple or Google, whichever store you use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app is
Clean Crave reads an ingredient list, explains items in plain language with the source under the note, and offers a homemade recipe. Frying fat in those recipes is butter, beef tallow, lard, olive oil, or avocado oil.
The free plan includes 5 label scans a month, the ingredient notes, a clean recipe, a shopping list, the glossary, and Send to Instacart. It does not include the pantry.
Not medical advice
The notes are educational. They are not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a reason to change a medicine or a diet a clinician gave you. A rating is the Clean Crave ingredient standard. The note under it describes what published sources report. People and studies disagree, and a label is not your health.
Recipes may name an internal temperature for poultry, ground meat, or fish. You are still the cook.
Clean Crave Plus
Plus is a subscription in the App Store subscription group "Clean Crave Plus," and the same products on Google Play.
- Monthly, product id
cleancrave_plus_monthly: $5.99 a month. No free trial. It renews every month until you cancel. - Annual, product id
cleancrave_plus_annual: $39.99 a year. A 7-day free trial, then the annual price unless you cancel. This is the only plan with a trial.
Plus includes the pantry, a shopping list that can leave out what you already have, the avoid list, full history, and family sharing where the store provides it, and 300 label scans a month. After that, scans wait for the next month.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The store may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID subscriptions or in Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
If you are on the annual trial and you buy a subscription before the trial ends, the unused part of the trial is forfeited, which is the store's rule.
The price the store shows at checkout controls. The amounts in these terms are the US prices set for the products.
Founder Lifetime
Founder Lifetime, product id cleancrave_founder_lifetime, is $79.00 once. It is a non-consumable. It does not renew. It includes the same features as Plus, including the 300-scan fair-use cap, while the app still honors that purchase.
It is a launch-window product. When the window closes, the paywall stops offering it. A purchase already made remains on the store receipt.
Family sharing follows the store's rules for that product.
Recipe packs
Recipe packs are separate one-time purchases. Plus does not include them.
Fast Food Favorites, product id cleancrave_fastfood_pack, is $7.99 once. It is a non-consumable. It does not renew. It unlocks that pack's recipes in the app. The same product id is used on Google Play.
Other packs, if they are offered later, are one-time purchases in the range published on the paywall. Buying a pack does not start Plus.
Cookbook bundle codes
A code included with a cookbook bundle is one year of Plus. You redeem it in the app. On iPhone the app opens Apple's code redemption sheet. On Android it opens Google Play's redeem page. Clean Crave does not make its own license keys, and a code from the website cannot unlock Plus or a pack by itself.
The email that delivers a bundle code has to say whether the code is for Apple or for Google. The two are not interchangeable.
When that year ends, the annual plan renews at $39.99 unless you cancel in the store at least 24 hours before the renewal.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under that store's rules. Zoe Ophelia Holdings LLC does not take payment for the app and cannot issue an app refund. Ask Apple or Google for a refund.
Instacart and the books
Send to Instacart opens a grocery list. You pay Instacart. Instacart may pay Clean Crave a commission. Groceries are physical goods. The button is not an in-app purchase, and it is on every plan.
Printed cookbooks and cookbook files are sold on https://cleancravekitchen.com, outside the app. A link to that page appears in the app only on the United States iOS storefront. It does not appear on Android. Buying a book does not unlock Plus or a recipe pack inside the app.
Your photos and lists
You keep whatever rights you have in a photo you take. You give Clean Crave permission to send that photo, and the ingredient text needed to explain it or write a recipe, to the server and the model provider, only so the app can do the read you asked for. The privacy policy says what is stored and what is not.
Do not use the app to upload anything you do not have the right to send, or to break the law.
The service can change
The ingredient library, the house recipes, prices, and which products are offered can change. Founder Lifetime can leave the paywall when the launch window ends. A store can discontinue a product under its own rules. If a change is material to a subscription you already pay for, the store's notice rules apply on top of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The stores' own terms still apply to the purchase itself.
Changes
If these terms change, the page at https://cleancravekitchen.com/terms will change, and the effective date at the top will change with it. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the new terms. A subscription you already have keeps the renewal terms the store showed you when you bought it, until that subscription ends or you renew.
